Emergency First Aid at Work 1/2-day course

THIS COURSE IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS OF VOLUNTARY AND COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONS

This 1/2 day course (9.30 – 1.30pm) based at North Devon Hospice,Deer Park, Barnstaple, Devon, EX32 0HU , is recommended and recognised by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE)

On completion of training, successful candidates should be able to:

1. assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency

2. demonstrate how to administer first aid safely, promptly and effectively to a casualty who is unconscious and/or in seizure

3. demonstrate how to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation promptly and effectively

4. use an AED

The course duration is 4 hours and participants will recieve a certificate and manual as part of the course.
