Grant-Making Trusts

There are thousands of grant-making trusts, giving funds which vary from under £50 to thousands of pounds. Some give funding for a range of different projects whilst others have particular interests. Larger trusts often have helpful websites with applications forms and guidelines, whereas many of the smaller trusts don’t have websites and it can be difficult to find information about them.

The trusts listed here all have a particular interest in North Devon, Devon or the South West generally. Where they have a website, we have not gone into details of contacts, applications, etc but we have tried to give as much information as possible about the others.

As well as looking over the information below, it is always a good idea to check details and contacts at the Charity Commission’s website - here. It is also useful to take a look at the latest annual report, which will be displayed on the website, if they have sufficient income to make it a requirement. You may get some good pointers about what they are particularly interested in. Sometimes, the accounts list all their donations, so you can see which organisations they have given money to in the past, and what the range of donations is. If a website is listed, make sure you look at that, too.

If you need any further help in identifying other suitable trusts please contact Lyn Winter.
