NDVS Volunteer Awards 2021May 31, 2021
It's Volunteers Week! This year we are encouraging everyone to take the time to say thank you to all volunteers. During an exceptionally difficult year, around the UK people from all walks of life have taken the time to volunteer and make a huge difference to people and their communities – just as they do every year.
Take a look at the Volunteers' Week
website to find out how you can get involved with saying thank you and keep an eye on our Facebook
feeds where we will be celebrating all things volunteering too!
We are also beyond excited to be opening the nominations process for our Volunteer Awards and are privileged to be able to thank some of our fantastic local volunteers. Nominate a volunteer here
. You can also download the latest ‘DeVA Digest’
which provides a one-stop shop for volunteering info whether you are new to managing volunteers or just want a quick refresher.
Despite the restrictions coronavirus has placed on our daily lives, volunteers and community groups have been active throughout lockdowns and restrictions supporting people in their local area. We want to recognise everyone that has started volunteering or continued delivering vital work as volunteers over the past 12 months. We also want to thank everyone who usually volunteers but has not been able to because of the pandemic.
Volunteers are always active in the heart of our communities. Some are now volunteering online from home, others in person with a local charity or organisation. The crucial contribution of volunteers has not stopped, despite the uncertain times we find ourselves in, and will continue as an important part of the recovery from this pandemic.
